For the Record

Dick Arnold from Bowie Maryland caught this 45 lb. Yellowfin with us on September 9, 2001. This is not a record fish, but while fishing with us Dick has set three IGFA world records for seabass, one lemon shark, and two bonnethead sharks on fly tackle. Five of these records are still standing.

Above are couple of Charlotte Sampson's IGFA fly tackle records she caught with us off Ocean City and in the Florida Keys.
Her world
record count now includes:

2 Seabss
6 Bonnethead Sharks

Small School Striped Bass

Trigerfish

Saltwater Fly Fishing

Saltwater fly fishing has become one of the nations fastest growing sports. Perhaps no place is there more evidence of this development than right here in Ocean City where local waters hold a variety of fish that will please beginning to expert fly casters.

Dolphin

Fly fishing is not about stocking a freezer with fillets. This is "fun fishing", the supreme light tackle challenge, where proper presentation of the fly, and hooking a fish is more important than filling a cooler with "keepers". Much to the delight of local anglers, bay and inlet waters can produce a smorgasbord of bluefish, rockfish, flounder, speckled and gray trout, small sharks, croaker, and seabass.

Anglers looking to battle monster fish will pitch their flies offshore to dolphin, tuna, billfish, sharks, big bluefish, mackerel, and any other bluewater critter willing to strike an artificial. This could be considered "extreme" fly fishing as fishermen push their tackle and skills to the limit in quest of the catch of a lifetime. For big-water fly fishing, the 40' FISH FINDER is rigged and ready to peruse any of the offshore monsters.

For inshore opportunities, the 19' FISH'N FLY is set up for shallow water excitement. Fly tackle is available on inshore trips, and we're always happy to help beginning anglers get started in this wonderful sport.
