Other Information
On most trips a first mate
will be aboard. Mates work for tips which normally run between 10-15%
of the total trip price. Tipping the mate is not optional - it's required.
Please add this to the above figures for the total trip price.
-
Prices
are for parties of up to six passengers.
-
All
bait and tackle is included.
-
A
$200.00 deposit is required with reservation
-
Firearms
and illegal drugs are not permitted aboard
-
Cancellations
must be made at least 2 weeks prior to departure to qualify for a
full refund.
- While
unlikely, our trip prices are subject to change if the price of diesel
fuel rises and stays high throughout the summer. If this happens we
may have to add a slight surcharge to the trip to cover the extra cost.
We can guarantee, however, that no surcharge will be more than $50 on
any given trip.
- State,
Federal,
and some special "boat" limits apply to the size and amount
of fish we may keep. Please feel free to ask us about these limits.
- On any
given trip we will not keep any more than a total of 8 tuna.
- Many
shark species are strictly catch-and-release.
Booking
Tips
We
offer fishing trips from late March through the end of December. But not
all fish are available at all times. Anglers wishing to target a particular
species will need to schedule their trip when that fish is available.
Anglers limited to fishing only during a specific time period will have
to go for what's available during that time. Please click on our FISHING
CALANDAR to see what typically bites when.
It is sometimes possible to secure an open date just a day or two
in advance. But most of our trips are booked many months ahead of time.
January and February are when the bulk of the summer season is claimed.
Weekends book-up first, then weekdays. Weekends are also the busiest
time on the water so that anglers able to fish during the week sometimes
have an advantage in that there will be less competition on the fishing
grounds for the best spots.
You may email me (mark@bigsharks.com) if you wish to arrange a for
charter date but I usually suggest that folks call me (410-213-2442) so
that we can discuss available dates and options together.
Since we usually fish almost every day during the season, don't
expect to reach me by phone during regular business hours. The best time
to call is between 7:PM and 9:PM. Or you can leave a message with an evening
number that I can call you back.
By
the time the summer season arrives, most of our dates will be booked.
It's never too early to call and make a reservation.
