Among the natural marshes, tidal pools, channels, and sand bars, fishermen might encounter striped bass, bluefish, seabass, croaker, spot, small sharks, gray and speckled trout, tautog, and the area's most popular inshore quarry - the summer flounder (fluke). For a change of pace, some folks opt to spend a part of their day digging for clams, or tending handlines in quest of Maryland's tasty blue crabs.
